A Teen's Opinion on Mainstream Media

Warped narratives and negativity...

Mainstream media is mostly warped so it's only their opinion that comes across.

To start this off, I apologise for not posting an article last Sunday, this won't happen again. So I will post an article now and I'll also post another one this Sunday.

Here's recent proof of TikToker Dylan Page exposing how his interview with ITV News (a British mainstream news program) was completely twisted so ITV could push the narrative that they want to push out, not his narrative:

NEWSDADDY SUNDAYS- Week 2

At times they exaggerate specific topics to make them sound worse than they actually are (eg. Social Media), which they do in order to keep people watching. Hence why it’s hard for kids to do certain things that may have slightly more pros than cons, as the cons are usually talked about on mainstream media rather than the pros.

They tend to always start off with news that is completely negative, which isn't a good way to start off your day in my opinion. No wonder why some people are sad and depressed thinking that the world is such a dangerous place, but when you get out there, bad things happen kind of rarely (depending on where in the world you’re living in of course).

In conclusion, I don't support the mainstream media as they are completely biased, especially towards certain subjects. News should be honest, not warped.
